You can drive your golf cart throughout Key West without any restrictions. In Stock Island, you are permitted to drive up to the CVS located at 5610 Overseas Hwy, where the speed limit changes to 45 MPH. Beyond that point, golf carts are not allowed.

Golf carts can be parked in any designated automobile parking area in Key West. However, most of the parking spaces in the area are paid parking, so you’ll need to pay the parking fees. It’s important not to park in residential parking zones, as doing so may result in your golf cart being towed. Additionally, many parking lots in Key West are privately owned and monitored by cameras. Failing to pay at the meter can result in fines starting at $89, even for brief stops or making a U-turn.

Renting a golf cart is easy, but there are a few requirements. You need to be at least 22 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and provide proof of car insurance.
